Rev. Black is a native of Washington, D.C. and Associate Minister at Galilee Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Lloyd T. McGriff. As a member of Galilee, Rev. Black has been active in several ministries, conducted seminars on finance and housing, and has been a guest speaker at the Men’s Conference. He also taught about developing a personal relationship with God and discipleship at the Discipleship Institute of Galilee. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Galilee Community Development Corporation.

 

Rev. Black is a man of many talents. He has written and produced several seminars: “Men and Their Broken Relationships”, “God’s Women and the Power of Persuasion” and his latest seminar, “From Tragedy to Triumph,” a seminar about finding one’s purpose through pain. He is an aspiring playwright of the forthcoming play “Never Knew Love Like This Before”, which is based on the book of “Hosea”.  He is the author of the forthcoming book “Into Your Hands I Commit My Spirit,” a book about taking a leap of faith, and the co-author of “Suffering While Serving”, a 2023 Amazon No. 1 Best Seller compilation written by spiritual leaders. He is the creator and executive producer of the YouTube podcast “Really”, (@Rev.A.D.Black_REALLY) which focuses on controversial topics and events. He showcases his comedic talent through several parodies of well-known commercials, which can be seen on his YouTube channel @LaughRevADBlack.

 

Rev. Black is the creator and owner of CrossedOver.org, a new, exciting, interactive social media platform changing the way we share information; the founder and owner of Bac2Eden gospel radio show; a Christian motivational speaker, and a gospel comedian. Rev. Black retired from the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority after 42 years of service.

 

Rev. Black is married to the former Benita Davis of Arlington, Virginia. They have three children. Antre’vyn, Ashyur’di and AJor’n.
